Published since 1971, The Streamkeepers Log is the quarterly newsletter of California Trout. Available in print only to CalTrout's 6000 members, the SKL is the premier source of news and information about California's wild trout and steelhead.

The SKL features commentary, state and national news, regional reports from our field staff, and updates on CalTrout's work to protect and restore wild trout and steelhead and their waters. The SKL is written mostly by CalTrout staff but submissions are welcome. Letters for publication should be between 100 and 500 words and full articles should be between 500 and 1000 words. You can write to us about government policy, CalTrout positions or your favorite fishing memory! All viewpoints are welcome.
