STATE GOVERNMENT SITES

Dept Fish and Game: The DFG manages California's diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public.

CA Resources Department: Responsible for ensuring an adequate and properly balanced management of government functions related to California's natural environment.

State Lands Commission: Responsible for state-owned sovereign and congressional grant lands. Handles land leases, exchanges and transactions. Conducts oil, gas, geothermal and other mineral leasing programs. Related activity involves boundry and ownership determination, granted lands administration and maintenance of lands information.

State Water Resources Control Board: Ensures the highest reasonable quality of the state's waters, while allocating those waters to achieve the optimum balance of beneficial uses, including the environment, agriculture, municipal districts and industry. Has joint authority of water allocation quality protection. Oversees nine regional boards.

Fish and Game Commission: Adopts fish, game and plant regulations as authorized by the Fish and Game Code and sets policies for the Department of Fish and Game.

Coastal Conservancy: The Conservancy works to preserve, improve, and restore public access and natural resources along the California coast and on San Francisco Bay.

California EPA: The mission of the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) is to improve environmental quality in order to protect public health, the welfare of our citizens, and California's natural resources. Cal/EPA will achieve its mission in an equitable, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
