California Trout is always on the lookout for motivated and talented people to assist in various activities to increase the effectiveness of the organization.

Below is a list of current volunteer needs and/or paid positions available at California Trout including the work location, position start date, and length of the project.

• Contact fly fishing clubs throughout California for current contact information, update database with this revised info (Volunteer, Home/CalTrout SF Office, Now).

• Assist with CalTrout’s Annual San Francisco Benefit Gala and Auction including soliciting for auction items (trips, gear, wine) and helping the day of the event (set-up items, registration, etc.) (Volunteer, CalTrout SF Office and Four Seasons Hotel, Now and 2009).

• Build database relationship trees between our Board Members and Trustees of other Boards. This includes researching the trustees of other boards and working in CalTrout’s database (Volunteer, Home/CalTrout SF Office, Now).

• Write personal notes on Major Donor Prospect solicitations as well as thank you notes (Volunteer, CalTrout SF Office, Now).

• Organize and catalog CalTrout’s photos (Volunteer, CalTrout Office, Now).

• Foundation research (Volunteer, Home/CalTrout Office, Now).

• Research programs where students can get school credit for volunteering with CalTrout (Volunteer, Home, Now).

• Call lapsed donors (Volunteer, CalTrout SF Office, Now).

• Research community foundation contacts for counties where we have projects (Volunteer, Home, Now).

• Upload/edit info for web (Volunteer, CalTrout SF Office, Now).

• Create foundation files, by donor name, to track info (Volunteer, Caltrout SF Office, Now).

• Part-time administrative assistant (Paid, CalTrout SF Office, 2009).
